    Citrus and Poinsettias

    It's the time of year again for ordering delicious Florida citrus. Students will bring home information packets on October 9th but if you'd like to get a jump start, click here to visit the order website - now open!

    Spirit Wear Store

    The Spirit Wear Store is now closed. Orders will be shipped to AHS by mid-September.

    Band & Ensemble Fees

    Information is now available about the fees required to participate in band. Payment should be made through My School Bucks.

    Instructions are available if you need to create a new account in the My School Bucks application.

    Prop Painters - 9/26-10/7

    We URGENTLY need people to help paint the Props for our Marching Band Show. You can help with painting 1 single color all over a prop as a base, or with the artistic details of the props. Please contact Becky at

    Concert Uniforms- 9/27

    We need help AGAIN this week with fitting and distributing concert attire for ALL BANDS. We will be fitting all students tomorrow, Thursday, September 27th, during the school day from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. We will fit the students for their tuxedo pants, jackets, and black dresses. No experience is necessary, and we could use and an all help!. Please contact Rachel at>.

    The Different Bands

    Wind Ensemble

    Wind Ensemble membership is drawn from the most advanced performers in the band program. Students are selected through auditions held in the spring by the Director of Bands or his designee(s).

    Symphonic Band

    Symphonic Band is open to all students through auditions held in the spring by the Director of Bands or his designee(s). The Symphonic Band presents a balanced study of literature at the highest level and quality attainable by the ensemble.

    Concert Band

    Concert Band is open to all students through auditions held in the spring by the Director of Bands or his designee(s), or by successful completion of Beginning Band, or by the recommendation of a rising ninth grade student’s middle school band instructor.

    Beginning Band

    Beginning Band is open to all students.

    Marching Band

    The Marching Atoms, Annandale High School's Marching Band, is a co-curricular ensemble activity comprised of members from the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Color Guard.

    Color Guard

    Color Guard marches and performs as part of the Marching Atoms, performing with a variety of flags, rifles, and sabres to enhance the marching show.

    CHARMS is the communication system used by the boosters and FCPS for communicating with students in the various programs.

The purpose of this organization is to inspire music participation, create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, and promote leadership in the music students of secondary schools.
